so it has come around again, that magical date in the calender when women are supposed to terrify the living daylights out of the menfolk and propose marriage.
I want to wish the sisterhood luck and many happy memories.
would i do it? NO BLOODY WAY ! want to know why? Simply because every wife i know , is a hard working woman. Becoming a wife is the husbands honour, his wife is his honour, she works for him, keeps his home, bears his children and is his defender.
Knowing that, why should i, a beautiful and loving young woman bend down and ask him for the honour of working so hard. Men when you find the right woman she will accept and she will be the jewel in your crown and work for you , give you children (beautiful and well behaved of course), she will never have your name in the mouths of gossips and she will be your sweetheart till the end of all time (or until you seriously upset her by cheating or calling her fatty fatty). That is a woman’s worth, it’s real good to have wife, huh. so don’t make her beg to be an “honourable and honest ” woman. If you do love her and want her around for 10years plus , try it she will be so happy.
Yes it may look old fashioned to you, and it is but we like it. there is still stigma for woman who have children out of wedlock, the conservative party takes swipes at you, blaming all single mothers for the feral youths that beat up elderly people for their purses and go joyriding, teachers assume that if a father doesn’t attend parents evening that perhaps you don’t know the father and therefore a woman is a bit of slag. Don’t doubt me, ordinary people have prejudices not just people in films about America’s deep south.
Anyhoo, many marital returns to any happy couples. Oh i almost forgot the gay community, if you want a partnership, go ahead knock yourselves out, have a good one and smile when ignorant people try and stare you down.
